1. Payment
Tuition is billed monthly and is based on four weekly lessons per month. Months with five weekly lessons are balanced by shortened holiday schedules, keeping tuition consistent throughout the year.
For students beginning lessons mid-month, tuition will be prorated based on the number of lessons remaining in that first month.
Invoices are sent via email through Square’s secure online billing system and may be paid using credit card, Apple Pay, or Cash App. Families who prefer to pay in cash must prepay a minimum of three months’ tuition.
Tuition is due on the 1st of each month. Payments not received within 10 days of the due date will incur a $20 late fee, which will be added to the next invoice. Accounts more than 30 days past due may result in lessons being paused until the balance is paid in full.
2. Cancellations and Makeup Lessons
Please notify your instructor at least 6 hours in advance if you must miss a lesson. The instructor will work with you to reschedule or provide a makeup credit. No-shows or late cancellations are not eligible for makeup lessons.
If the studio must close due to inclement weather (following LISD closures), a makeup credit will be issued.
3. Late Arrivals
Please notify your instructor if you are running late. Lessons will end at their scheduled time to avoid overlapping with the next student.
4. Instructor Absences
In the event of instructor absence, Jupiter Studios will provide either a qualified substitute teacher or a rescheduled lesson at no additional cost.
5. Holidays & Breaks
Jupiter Studios follows LISD’s calendar for Christmas break, Thanksgiving break, and Spring Break. Tuition remains consistent during these breaks as they are accounted for in the yearly schedule.
6. Practice Expectations
Consistent practice is essential to student progress. Practice requirements will be set by each instructor based on the student’s level and goals.
7. Communication
Communication is primarily handled via text, but email is also available for convenience. Please contact your instructor directly regarding cancellations or scheduling.
8. Recitals
Jupiter Studios holds recitals twice per year — one at the end of the spring semester and one at the end of the fall semester. Participation is highly encouraged as part of a well-rounded music education.
A $15 recital participation fee per family is due prior to each recital to help cover venue, staffing, and program costs.
9. Photo & Video
By enrolling at Jupiter Studios, you grant permission for photos and videos of lessons, recitals, and events to be used for promotional purposes. Parents who wish to opt out may notify us in writing.
10. Safety & Pickup
For student safety, parents must come inside the lobby to pick up their child after lessons. Students may not leave the building unattended.
11. Discontinuing Lessons
A 20-day written notice is required to discontinue lessons. Tuition for the upcoming month will be due if written notice is not provided.
